SUZY CAIRNS SHOCKING CRIMES IN LIVINGSTON: SEXUAL ABUSE AND BESTIALITY SCANDAL

In February 2018, a disturbing case emerged from Livingston involving Suzy Cairns, a woman whose actions have shocked the local community and raised serious concerns about criminal behavior and exploitation. Cairns, aged 39, was involved in a series of criminal activities that included the possession of highly illegal and disturbing material, as well as the filming of herself engaging in sexual acts with her pet dog, a Golden Labrador.

Her case came to light after police investigations revealed that she had been in possession of a significant amount of illicit images and videos. The investigation was initiated after detectives from Police Scotland’s Cyber Crime Unit received a tip-off indicating that Cairns’s internet IP address had been used to access and download indecent images of children. Acting swiftly, officers obtained a search warrant for her residence on Falconer Rise in Livingston, where they conducted a thorough search of her home and seized her mobile phone for examination.

During the search, authorities discovered a disturbing collection of images and videos stored on her device. Among these were three Category ‘B’ images, which depicted non-penetrative sexual activity, and a staggering 161 photographs classified as Category ‘C’, the least severe category of illegal images. Additionally, investigators found one Category ‘A’ movie involving children, which is considered the most serious level of such material. The most shocking discovery was a video showing Cairns engaging in sexual activity with her dog, an act that has garnered widespread condemnation.

Following her arrest, Cairns was interviewed by police officers, during which she made various admissions regarding her possession and viewing of the illicit material. She was subsequently charged with two counts of possessing pornographic material, including indecent photographs of children and extreme pornography involving a dog. Cairns pleaded guilty to these charges during her court appearance at Livingston Sheriff Court.

In her defense, Cairns claimed that the incident involving her dog had been exaggerated and insisted that there was no actual intercourse. She stated, “There was no intercourse with the dog, and that is what was implied. What’s said is that I had sex with the dog and I didn’t.” Her comments came after she admitted to possessing indecent images of children and a ‘Class A’ movie, which is classified as the most severe level of illegal content.

Despite the gravity of her offenses, Cairns was spared a custodial sentence. Instead, she was sentenced to a community payback order, which requires her to be under social work supervision for three years. This order is intended as a community-based alternative to imprisonment, emphasizing rehabilitation and monitoring. Furthermore, her name will remain on the sex offenders’ register for three years, with strict conditions prohibiting her from having access to children under 16 or using internet-enabled devices without supervision.

During the sentencing hearing, Sheriff Martin Edington acknowledged Cairns’s remorse and embarrassment, noting that her lack of prior convictions and the limited number of images involved influenced his decision. He stated, “Your solicitor has made it very clear how ashamed and embarrassed and remorseful you are. I’m prepared to take into account there were not a large number of images and you’ve got no previous convictions so I am not today going to deprive you of your liberty.”

Outside the court, Cairns appeared resigned, telling reporters, “I’ve had a long day. My health doesn’t keep great and I just want to go home and rest.” Her case has sparked outrage and concern within the Livingston community, highlighting the importance of vigilance and the need for ongoing efforts to combat such heinous crimes.
