STUART MORRISON SENTENCED TO 18 YEARS FOR SERIAL SEXUAL OFFENSES IN PORTSMOUTH

Stuart Morrison, a 39-year-old man from Portsmouth, has been handed down an 18-year prison sentence after being convicted of multiple grave sexual crimes committed within the city. The conviction was secured by a jury at Portsmouth Crown Court, where Morrison was found guilty of raping a 14-year-old girl and a 59-year-old woman. In addition to these convictions, he was also found guilty of attempting to rape a 13-year-old girl, kidnapping, and two other serious sexual offenses.

He stated, "I am reminded by your counsel that these offences date back to 1987. That is a long time ago but what that means is that you have managed to avoid justice for some 12 years, which does you no credit."
