MAN JAILED FOR 19 YEARS FOR MULTIPLE COUNTS OF RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
A victim of sexual abuse has been publicly acknowledged for her bravery following the sentencing of her abuser to 19 years in prison.
Stuart Miller, 36, of Church Street, Calne, faced Swindon Crown Court on February 10th after admitting to 14 sexual offences involving a minor.
His crimes included rape, sexual assault, and producing indecent images of children.
He was sentenced to a prison term of 19 years, with a stipulated period of 14 years and eight months behind bars, and the rest on extended licence.
The court also imposed a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order and required him to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
Miller, who knew the victim, targeted her multiple times from October 2019 until September 2023, engaging in sexual assaults and a number of rapes, some of which he photographed.
The offences were revealed after the victim told a friend about the abuse in September 2023, which led to police involvement.
The Child Abuse Investigation Team (CAIT), along with the Digital Forensics Unit (DFU), investigated and found the indecent images Miller had made of himself and the girl, which contributed to his conviction.
