SOUTH SHIELDS RAPISTS SENTENCED TO NINE YEARS FOR VIDEOED ATTACK
A pair of individuals, Stuart McMahon and James Griffin, were convicted of heinous sexual offenses in South Shields. They lured a vulnerable 17-year-old girl back to McMahon's flat, where they subjected her to repeated rape and a humiliating ordeal.
The attack included both men raping her while she was intoxicated and under the influence of cannabis, with Griffin recording part of the assault on his mobile phone.
Although the video footage was deleted immediately after police arrived, authorities recovered the clip through technical means, exposing the brutality of their actions.
The court heard that after the assault, McMahon called the victim and mockingly laughed at her, demonstrating a complete lack of remorse.
The victim suffered injuries from the attack and was left in an 'appalling state' after being forcibly detained and assaulted.
Both offenders were convicted of two counts of rape each and sentenced to nine years in prison.
During the trial, the judge described the incident as a 'most violent act of sexual intercourse' accompanied by a sustained attack as she tried to leave, highlighting the severity and sinister nature of their crime.
