A man facing allegations of historical child sex crimes, who was also under investigation for viewing pornography while caring for children, has been sentenced to prison.
Stewart Tuck (24) first came to police attention in October 2022 after a third party alerted authorities to his viewing of gay pornographic material featuring males designed to appear underage, all while looking after very young children.
He was arrested and questioned by officers from the CAVA (Child Abuse and Vulnerable Adults) team.
Following his initial interview, Tuck was released on bail as further investigations were conducted.
It was then uncovered that he had committed rape and serious sexual offences against a young child approximately 12-13 years earlier.
The investigation was widened, resulting in Tuck being charged with numerous offences, including the rape of a child, sexual assault through touch, engaging in sexual acts before a minor, and possession of indecent images.
During a hearing at Teesside Magistrates’ Court in April, Tuck pleaded guilty to all 11 charges.
He was subsequently sentenced to serve 7 years and 9 months in prison.
He was also subject to a restraining order and will be entered onto the sex offenders’ register.
When released, he will be subject to tight restrictions, including ongoing monitoring and supervision.
