CHADWELL HEATH MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO CHILD SEX COMMUNICATION
A man from Chadwell Heath has pleaded guilty to a child sex offence.
Stewart Chalk, 45, of Cecil Road, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 6.
He entered a guilty plea to one charge of engaging in sexual communication with a child.
Court documents state that between November 1, 2023, and April 13, 2024, he engaged in sexual communication with a person he did not reasonably believe to be aged 16 or over.
Chalk believed he was speaking to an underage girl but in reality he was talking to a decoy account run by paedophile hunters.
The communication included nude photographs and encouraging sexual acts.
Chalk found himself confronted by paedophile hunters at his home on April 13, 2024.
After entering a guilty plea, Chalk was released on conditional bail until he is sentenced at the same court on February 5.
His bail conditions ban him from being in the company of any child without appropriate adult supervision.
