STEVEN FALLS CONVICTED OF SEXUAL OFFENCES IN ALDERSHOT AND WEST BROMWICH

In a case that spans nearly two decades, Steven Falls, a man with ties to multiple towns including Aldershot, Farnham, Runcorn, and West Bromwich, has been found guilty of serious sexual misconduct involving a young boy. The conviction was handed down after a detailed three-day trial at Guildford Crown Court, where the jury deliberated and reached a majority verdict of 10 to 2, convicting Falls on two counts of serious sexual offences and three counts of indecent assault.

Falls, who was 35 years old at the time of the trial, had a history that included living in various locations. He resided on Woodside Road in Farnham during 1992 and 1993 before relocating to St George’s Road in Aldershot. His life later took him to Runcorn, and eventually he settled in Jubilee Crescent, West Bromwich, where he currently resides. The court proceedings revealed that the offences in question occurred in 1992 when Falls was living near Aldershot.

The case came to light after the victim, who is now an adult and from Aldershot, decided to report the abuse to the police. The victim’s decision was influenced by Falls’ recent communication, in which he congratulated the victim on becoming a father via text message. In a disturbing twist, Falls also expressed a disturbing desire to get his hands on his victim’s newborn child, revealing a continued obsession and a lack of remorse. This message, along with Falls’ association with a boys’ football team, raised suspicions and prompted further investigation.

The police investigation uncovered that Falls had changed his surname by deed poll after the allegations first surfaced in 2008, a move that appeared to be an attempt to evade detection. Throughout the trial, Falls maintained his innocence, denying all charges brought against him. Despite his denials, the jury found him guilty of all counts.

Falls’ criminal history and the nature of the offences have serious implications, and he now faces a potential prison sentence of up to six years.
