MAN JAILED FOR ABUSING CHILD
A man aged 60 from Trowbridge has been sentenced to prison after admitting to sexually abusing a girl under the age of 13.During a court hearing at Salisbury Crown Court two weeks ago, Stephen Hudd received a sentence of 13 years and 9 months for his involvement in multiple sexual offences involving his young victim.
Hudd pleaded guilty beforehand to three charges of sexually assaulting a child under 13, three charges of inducing a child under 13 to participate in sexual activities, and three charges of assault by penetration.
He is expected to serve a minimum of 12 years and 9 months behind bars, with an additional year on licence following his release.
Additionally, Hudd will be registered as a sex offender, which will restrict him from working unsupervised with children or young people.
