WOMAN WHO MADE FALSE RAPE ALLEGATION IS JAILED FOR 14 MONTHS
A woman from Swindon has received a 14-month prison term following her false claim of being raped by an unknown individual.Sophie James, aged 26 and residing on Frobisher Drive in Walcot, admitted to charges of perverting the course of justice.
She had initially reported to authorities that she had been raped in Swindon during August 2019.
James's report claimed that a takeaway driver, who had come to deliver food, had forcibly entered her home and subjected her to rape.
However, her account was later found to be untrue.
