CHERTSEY WOMAN SOPHIE HILEY SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS FOR GROOMING AND ABUSE IN KINGSTON
In September 2017, Sophie Hiley, a 22-year-old resident of Grove Road, Chertsey, was sentenced to six years in prison for grooming and sexually abusing two young boys. Hiley appeared at Kingston Crown Court on Wednesday, September 20, where she was convicted of three counts of sexual activity with a boy and one count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under 16.An in-depth investigation conducted by Surrey Police's Child Sexual Exploitation Team in March 2017 revealed that Hiley had been exploiting two young boys over a period of time. She would invite the boys to her home, give them alcohol and drugs, and then engage in sexual activities while others watched.
The court described Hiley as a manipulative and predatory paedophile, noting her systematic abuse of the two children she had access to over an extended period. The investigation and subsequent trial highlighted her behavior as highly manipulative and predatory, leading to her imprisonment.
