SONIA MURRAY PIPER ARRESTED IN AYR FOR ALLEGED SEXUAL ABUSE OF TWO YOUNG BOYS

A woman named Sonia Murray Piper has been formally charged with serious allegations of sexual misconduct involving two young boys in the town of Ayr. The charges stem from incidents that are alleged to have taken place over a span of nearly five years, from August 2019 to August 2024, at an address specified in court documents, as well as other unspecified locations.

At Ayr Sheriff Court, the 62-year-old defendant appeared to face the charges and entered a plea of not guilty. She is accused of multiple instances of sexual assault and indecent communications directed at the two male children, both of whom were under the age of 13 at the time of the alleged offenses.

Prosecutors have detailed that Piper is alleged to have physically assaulted one of the boys by handling and striking his buttocks with her hand. Additionally, it is claimed that she made inappropriate sexual remarks to him during these encounters. The allegations further state that her actions were carried out on various occasions, suggesting a pattern of misconduct.

Regarding the second boy, the accusations are equally serious. It is alleged that Piper placed her arms around him and handled his buttocks, striking him with her hand and digging her nails into his skin. The court documents also describe an incident where she pulled the boy against her breasts, which is part of the broader allegations of sexual assault.

Furthermore, Piper is accused of making sexual remarks to the second child, with both sets of charges allegedly committed with the intent of either obtaining sexual gratification or causing humiliation, distress, or alarm to the young victims.
