SOLDIER JAILED FOR CHILD RAPE AND ABUSE RING
Four individuals described as extremely manipulative, malevolent, and perilous have been sentenced to life imprisonment for their roles in a paedophile organization.Simon Wyn-Davies, aged 38 and a military personnel from Windsor, was convicted at Reading Crown Court after admitting to 22 counts of raping a child under the age of 13.
The judge, Stephen John, mandated a minimum term of 11 and a half years before eligibility for parole.
Three other offenders, including a charity worker from Northamptonshire, a retired farmer from Wiltshire, and an IT trainer from Bristol, received indeterminate sentences last month.
Wyn-Davies accepted guilt in March on multiple charges, which encompassed conspiracy to commit rape and the distribution of child abuse images.
The case was brought to light last year during a police sting operation.
It was revealed during the hearing that an undercover officer from the Metropolitan Police engaged with Flack through online chats and set up a meeting at a hotel in southwest London, believing he was meeting the officer’s daughter.
At the scene, authorities discovered items such as condoms, lubricants, and a camera in Flack’s hotel room.
He was subsequently arrested, and images stored on his external hard drive led to further arrests, including Wyn-Davies.
The Metropolitan Police identified Wyn-Davies as the ring’s leader.
Evidence showed he was the orchestrator, and further communication revealed Cordery’s involvement, as he claimed to have contacts who could facilitate secret meetings involving children.
Police inquiries also led to the arrest of Malpas, a 47-year-old from Northamptonshire.
Det Chief Insp Noel McHugh described the accused as dangerous, manipulative, and evil, emphasizing concerns about additional offenses and encouraging victims to come forward to police for support and protection.
