WINDSOR MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR DOMESTIC ATTACK
A man from Church Street, Windsor, has been sentenced to two years and eight months in prison for his assault on his partner, which he launched in the early hours.
On March 31 at around 2.30am, Galice Beldom conducted what authorities describe as a 'sustained attack' on his partner, a woman in her forties, resulting in serious injuries to her face and stomach.
The victim managed to escape the property and fled on foot into the town centre, where she flagged down a milkman for assistance.
Beldom was promptly arrested and charged the day after the incident, later pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Detective Constable Annie Blair of Thames Valley Police’s Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit expressed her thanks to the victim for her bravery during the investigation.
She also emphasized the police’s commitment to taking all reports of violence against women and girls seriously, and ensuring offenders are brought to justice.
