LEEDS POLICE OFFICER DENIES SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES AND GOES TO COURT
Two police officers, Simon Clarke and Gary Cavanagh, appeared in Bradford Magistrates Court on Monday charged with sexual offences against the same alleged victim.Simon Clarke, aged 53, was charged with two counts of sexual assault on a female while on duty.
He denied the charges and chose to have a trial by jury.
He was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to attend Bradford Crown Court for a pre-trial hearing on 5 February.
Details of the offences include that PC Clarke was accused of assaulting a female while performing his duties as a police officer.
