SHAUN LEATHERLAND FROM LITTLEOVER SENTENCED FOR RAPE AND CRIMES IN DERBY

In a case that has drawn significant attention, Shaun Leatherland, a 33-year-old resident of Burton Road in Littleover, has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for a serious sexual assault. The incident, which occurred in Oakwood, took place on Sunday, May 25, and involved Leatherland raping a woman inside her own home.

Leatherland appeared before Derby Crown Court on Tuesday, August 1, where he pleaded guilty to the charge of rape. The court's decision resulted in a sentence of four years and ten months behind bars.
