MAN JAILED FOR MORE THAN A DECADE FOR HIS SICKENING ABUSE
A man known for violent sexual abuse and enjoyment in degrading women has been sentenced to more than ten years in prison for his heinous acts.Shane Youll frequently inflicted physical and sexual violence on a vulnerable victim, actions driven by his distorted perceptions of women, the court at Teesside Crown Court was told.
The 37-year-old was convicted after a trial of numerous charges, including rape and assault.
Judge Joanne Kidd remarked that Youll subjected the victim to domination and fear, showing a blatant disregard for the emotional and physical toll his behaviour took on her.
She emphasised that the victim was a vulnerable woman and accused Youll of having a history of violence towards women, highlighting his lack of awareness regarding his misconduct.
The judge further noted that Youll’s actions appeared to be influenced by his drug addiction and flawed views on women, leading him to sexually assault her to cause humiliation and degradation, with no concern for the consequences.
Prosecutor Philip Morley confirmed that a jury found Youll guilty of violent and sexual offences.
Residing in Cotswold Terrace, Stanley, Youll received a sentence of ten years and six months behind bars and was also handed a sexual harm prevention order.
