CREEPY DUNDEE MAN SPENT YEARS SEXUALLY AND MENTALLY ABUSING FORMER PARTNER
A Dundee businesswoman endured years of frightening and abusive behavior from her former partner, as revealed at Dundee Sheriff Court.Sebastian Grubba, aged 48, caused nearly six years of distress at properties located within Dundee city.
The court was informed that Grubba acted aggressively towards her almost daily and made threats to kill her.
He also vowed to destroy her business and frequently monitored her movements via CCTV cameras on the premises.
Grubba has pleaded guilty to years of abuse and is scheduled for sentencing next month.
A sheriff will decide whether he will be marked on the sex offenders register at that time.
The court heard the couple met in Poland and moved into Dundee more than 15 years ago.
Their relationship deteriorated over time, with the couple sleeping separately.
The prosecutor described how Grubba often shouted, swore, and behaved aggressively, especially when things did not go his way.
The abuse became almost daily, the court was told.
On one occasion, after returning late from a trip, Grubba entered the bedroom, pulled the duvet off his partner, and touched her over her clothing without consent, attempting to remove her lower clothing.
Despite her pleas for him to stop and leave, he persisted for about 20 minutes before she finally left the room.
The court also heard about Grubba's obsessive behavior.
He repeatedly called and texted the woman, seemingly monitoring her movements.
She was able to escape his control when he went to Poland for surgery.
During his absence, she moved to a new address, but he was spotted loitering nearby.
He then shouted and threatened her, vowing to destroy her business and kill her.
She managed to get inside her home, and he left.
Police intervention occurred in 2024, after Grubba persistently pursued his adult daughter for information about her.
Before a scheduled court appearance in April 2025, Grubba was issued conditions banning him from three streets in the Hilltown area, but he was seen driving in the same vicinity.
Grubba, of Dundee, admitted to engaging in a course of conduct at Dundee addresses and Loch Earn Caravan Park under domestic abuse laws, which included indecent touching.
The Crown's position is that Grubba’s conduct involved a significant sexual component, warranting registration as a sex offender.
Solicitor Mike Short requested a social work report for his client, citing health concerns.
The sentencing was deferred until June by Sheriff Tim Niven-Smith, and Grubba’s bail was continued.
