DUNDEE SEX OFFENDER SCOTT TAYLOR JAILED AFTER HORRIFIC ATTACK
Sinister Scott Taylor held a woman captive and repeatedly attacked her in a flat in Dundee.
The woman believed she was going to be raped, and her screams were heard by her daughter two storeys above.
Taylor, 57, was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison after being convicted of the April 2024 sex attack.
Sheriff Paul Ralph stated: “For a period of 30 minutes to an hour, you detained your victim in the flat, locking the front door and preventing her from escaping.
You then proceeded to sexually assault her and threatened to rape her.” Taylor wore a Looney Tunes Tasmanian Devil mask during the attack, hid the keys in his trousers before washing them, and continued his assault even as police arrived.
He also harassed police officers and gave an erratic interview claiming the keys were in his jeans pocket.
Taylor was also convicted of bizarre behaviour at Coldside Library, where he left offensive and sexualised notes, trashed the toilets, and stole newspapers to write on.
The court sentenced him to 42 months in prison and ordered lifelong sex offender notification requirements, along with a five-year non-harassment order.
