SCOTT MONTGOMERY FROM CHINNOR AND PRINCES RISBOROUGH JAILED FOR CHILD SEXUAL OFFENSES
In a significant case that has shocked the local communities of Chinnor and Princes Risborough, Scott Montgomery, a 24-year-old man formerly residing in Littlemoor Field, Chinnor, has been sentenced to over three years in prison for serious child sexual abuse offenses. The sentencing took place at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 5, following Montgomery's guilty plea to multiple charges related to the exploitation of a minor.Montgomery was convicted of two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, which involved encouraging or persuading a young girl to participate in sexual acts. Additionally, he was found guilty of three counts of possessing indecent images of a child, highlighting the disturbing nature of his online activities. The court also convicted him of one count of paying for the sexual services of a child, a crime that underscores the severity of his misconduct.
The crimes were committed over a period from February to June 2020, during which Montgomery was living in Princes Risborough. According to Thames Valley Police reports, he repeatedly paid a girl to send him sexually explicit images via the internet, exploiting her vulnerability for his own gratification. The investigation revealed that Montgomery's actions involved both online solicitation and the possession of illegal images, which contributed to the length and severity of his sentence.
As part of his punishment, Montgomery will be placed on the sex offenders register for life and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order, which aims to restrict his activities and prevent further offenses. The case has drawn attention to the ongoing issues of online exploitation and the importance of safeguarding minors from such predatory behavior in the communities of Chinnor and Princes Risborough.
