A man named Scott McKee, aged 23 and now residing on Robertson Road in Dunfermline, appeared in court after admitting to attacking his partner at their residence.
He confessed that on August 26 at a house in Cairneyhill, he assaulted the woman by punching her on the head, causing injury.
According to deputy fiscal Alex Piper, the victim was his former partner with whom he was living at the time.
The incident occurred when McKee returned home intoxicated late at night, following an argument in which he punched her, resulting in a burst lip.
McKee's defense solicitor Barbara Collie acknowledged that he had been drinking and recognized that his behavior was completely unacceptable.
The court noted McKee’s previous conviction for domestic abuse in 2015.
Sheriff Craig McSherry fined him £250 and ordered him to pay £400 in compensation to his former partner.
