In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Montrose, Scott Kidd, a 29-year-old man, was found guilty of a series of heinous abusive acts committed over a span of two months, from May to July 2021. Kidd was acting in the role of a carer for a woman in Montrose when he subjected her to a pattern of degrading and harmful behaviors that severely impacted her physical and mental well-being.

Throughout this period, Kidd systematically isolated his vulnerable victim, stripping her of her means of communication and financial independence by confiscating her phone and bank cards. His actions created an environment of fear and alarm, leaving her feeling helpless and trapped. The court heard that Kidd’s conduct was not only emotionally damaging but also physically abusive, with incidents that included shocking acts of humiliation.

Among the most disturbing episodes was Kidd defecating into a box and then throwing it at his victim, an act that was described as both degrading and violent.
