MAN SENTENCED TO TEN YEARS IN PRISON FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULTS

--------------------------- 2025-09-04 10:48: A man from Brighton has been sentenced to a decade in prison after being convicted of sexual assault and rape involving two women.
Sam Soyoye, aged 32 and residing on Windsor Street in Brighton, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on 3 September, where he was found guilty of one charge of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
Following his conviction, he was remanded into custody.
On Thursday, 6 November, the same court sentenced him to ten years’ imprisonment, with all sentences to run concurrently.
The incidents involved two separate women who did not know each other and were attacked in different encounters after meeting Soyoye in Brighton.
In June 2024, he took a woman back to his home in the early hours and raped her.
In September 2024, he invited another woman to his residence and committed sexual assault.
After a detailed investigation, Soyoye was arrested, charged, and subsequently convicted following a trial.
