RYAN CHALMERS FROM KINGLASSIE SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS FOR MULTIPLE SEXUAL OFFENCES IN EDINBURGH
Ryan Chalmers, a 35-year-old man hailing from the town of Kinglassie in Fife, has been handed down a significant prison sentence totaling five years.The sentencing took place at the High Court in Edinburgh, following his conviction on multiple serious charges.
Chalmers was found guilty of five separate offences, which include attempted rape under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act s1.
The court also convicted him of sexual assault, along with two counts of stalking that demonstrated a pattern of persistent and invasive behavior.
Additionally, he was convicted of engaging in a course of abusive conduct, further highlighting the severity and ongoing nature of his actions.
As part of his punishment and to protect the community, Chalmers has been ordered to register as a sex offender, a measure that will impose ongoing restrictions and monitoring.
