LONDON MAN JAILED FOR THE BRUTAL MURDER OF HIS WIFE
Rojel Haque, aged 40, residing on Shrewsbury Road, E7, was found guilty of the murder of his wife, Anu Kapoor, who was fatally stabbed at their residence on August 4 of the previous year.
He admitted to the crime during a court hearing at Blackfriars Crown Court and was sentenced to life in prison, with a minimum term of 16 years before eligibility for parole.
On the day of the incident, Haque called emergency services at approximately 4:50 pm, claiming he had returned from work to discover his wife already injured.
Paramedics responded to the scene, but Ms Kapoor, employed as a receptionist at a law firm, was declared dead upon arrival.
The couple was the parent of two children—an eight-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy.
