ROGER MARTIN FROM GREAT DUNHAM SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCE AT CHRISTS HOSPITAL SCHOOL IN HORSHAM

In a significant case that has spanned decades, Roger Martin, a former educator at Christs Hospital School in Horsham, has been handed a four-year prison sentence after being found guilty of a sexual offence committed against a pupil at the school over 40 years ago. Roger Martin, aged 83 and now retired, resides on Palgrave Road in Great Dunham, near Kings Lynn. His conviction was secured following an extensive eight-day trial at Hove Crown Court, where the court heard detailed evidence of the abuse. As part of his sentence, Martin will be required to register as a sex offender for an indefinite period, reflecting the severity and nature of his crime.

The investigation into the allegations was initiated by officers from the Sussex Police Complex Abuse Unit.
