NORTH EAST TEACHER BANNED FOR SEXUAL MISCONDUCT
Special needs teacher Robin Hadden, 53, was banned from teaching after prodding a colleague’s breasts in front of a pupil and making sexual comments to others.Robin Hadden, who worked at Durham Trinity School & Sports College from January 2015 to 2023, made remarks such as “no one needs to make me apologise for making me look at their boobs”.
A teaching panel in March found his actions “amounted to misconduct of a serious nature” with allegations proven, and decision-maker Sarah Buxcey stated there was “a strong public interest in protecting pupils and colleagues.” His conduct was classified as “serious sexual misconduct” that could bring the teaching profession into disrepute.
While the behaviour appeared “out of character,” there was limited remorse, and an indefinite prohibition order was imposed.
Collister may apply for a review after two years.
