ROBERT PRICE SENTENCED IN ANGLESEY FOR RAPE OF TEENAGE GIRL
A 36-year-old man named Robert Llewellyn Price from Amlwch, located on the island of Anglesey, has been formally convicted and sentenced for serious sexual offenses involving a teenage girl. The incident, which took place earlier this year, culminated in Price being sentenced to a total of six years and eight months in prison for two counts of rape. In addition to his prison term, he has been ordered to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life, a measure that underscores the severity of his crimes. The victim, who was only 16 years old at the time of the assaults, courageously came forward to report the incidents to the police in April. According to reports, Price had lured her to his residence on two separate occasions, during which he committed acts of rape. The young girl later confided in authorities that she was concerned she might be pregnant as a result of the assaults. During their interactions, Price had warned her that he would be in trouble if she disclosed what had happened, attempting to intimidate her into silence.
Following her report, Price attempted to evade justice by fleeing the scene. However, law enforcement officers quickly located him on a cliffside in Amlwch, where he was subsequently arrested. He was then remanded into custody, pending further legal proceedings.
Detective Sergeant Mark Dickson commented on the case, emphasizing the impact on the victim. He stated, “This was a horrific incident for this young girl, who demonstrated exceptional bravery in coming forward to report Price’s crimes. I commend her courage in doing so, and her strength throughout the entirety of the case. I hope she can now focus on moving forward with her life, with the knowledge that Price is now being held accountable for these disgraceful assaults.”
Sergeant Dickson also took the opportunity to encourage other victims of sexual abuse to come forward, assuring them that law enforcement agencies are committed to pursuing offenders relentlessly and providing support to those affected.
