RICHARD WARD SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT IN ROSNEATH AND DUNBARTONSHIRE
A man identified as Richard Ward has been sentenced to a decade behind bars following a disturbing assault on an 11-year-old girl as she was heading to a Nativity play.The incident took place in a quiet village within Dunbartonshire, specifically near Rosneath, on December 16 of the previous year.
Ward, aged 21 at the time, was also mandated to register as a sex offender, a decision handed down by the High Court in Glasgow.
Ward, who resides on Ferry Road in Rosneath, faced serious charges including the sexual assault of the young girl, who is now 12 years old.
He denied the allegations, claiming he was innocent of both the sexual assault and the violent attack involving hitting the girl over the head multiple times with a stone.
