RICHARD HORNER FROM DAUBHILL SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS FOR HISTORIC SEX OFFENCES AGAINST TWO YOUNG GIRLS

Richard Horner, aged 53, has been handed a prison sentence of 12 years after admitting to a series of serious historic sexual offences.

The crimes, which include two counts of rape and eleven counts of gross indecency, were committed during the 1980s and 1990s and targeted two young girls.

These offences only came to light after the victims, now adults, showed remarkable bravery by coming forward to report their traumatic experiences.

Horner’s actions were brought to justice in a court hearing where Judge Timothy Stead emphasized the disturbing nature of his predatory conduct.
