WOMEN’S AID VOLUNTEER JAILED OVER 28-YEAR CAMPAIGN OF ABUSE
Richard Coull has been jailed for five years after being convicted of carrying out a prolonged campaign of abuse against a woman and three children over a shocking 28-year period. At the Glasgow High Court, Coull was found guilty of five criminal charges including assaults on three girls, abusive behaviour towards a woman, and making threats.
One victim — now a mother of three — suffered abuse from the age of just two, while another child was targeted from birth.
The court heard Coull carried out violence and intimidation over decades while simultaneously working with Stirling and District Women’s Aid through his company EighteenThree.
Despite allegations of rape and indecent assault being made against him, Coull was cleared of those accusations.
However, jurors convicted him of a string of violent and abusive offences.
He was sentenced to five years in prison for the horrific abuse campaign.
