RICHARD CORNEY OF RUSKINGTON SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT IN LINCOLN
In a case that has shocked the community of Ruskington and the surrounding Lincoln area, Richard Corney, a 51-year-old man from Cornwell Way, was found guilty of multiple serious sexual offenses.The incident came to light during a court session at Lincoln Crown Court on Thursday, April 4, where jurors swiftly reached a verdict after just 45 minutes of deliberation.
Corney faced four counts of rape, along with two charges each of indecent assault and indecency with a child.
The evidence presented in court painted a disturbing picture of his actions, which spanned over a period when the victim was between 13 and 15 years old.
It was revealed that Corney had not only assaulted the girl on multiple occasions but had also taken the disturbing step of filming these acts using a video camera, indicating premeditation and a calculated intent to commit these crimes.
