RICHARD ALDER FROM FINEDON CAUGHT WITH CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN NORTHAMPTON
In July 2019, a man from Finedon named Richard Alder, aged 62, faced serious allegations related to the possession and viewing of illegal child abuse images. The case was brought before Northampton Magistrates' Court, where Alder admitted to viewing these disturbing images over a period spanning from March to May 2017.Specifically, Alder pleaded guilty to three charges of possessing indecent images. The images in question were categorized into different severity levels, with 23 images classified as Category A, which are considered the most severe and disturbing, five images as Category B, and four images as Category C. These classifications indicate the increasing levels of severity and explicitness associated with each set of images.
The court proceedings revealed that Alder, who resides on Rock Road in Finedon, was granted unconditional bail by the magistrates, allowing him to remain free until his sentencing. The magistrates did not impose any restrictions on his bail, reflecting their assessment of the case at that stage.
The sentencing hearing was scheduled to take place at Northampton Crown Court on the following Wednesday, July 31. The outcome of this hearing would determine the penalties Alder would face for his admitted offences, which are considered grave violations involving the exploitation of children through digital images.
