RICARDO GODINHO BRUTALLY MURDERS ESTRANGED WIFE IN EPSOM AND EWELL

In a shocking act of violence, Ricardo Godinho carried out a brutal attack that resulted in the death of his estranged wife in broad daylight on the streets of Epsom and Ewell. The incident unfolded when Godinho, who was residing on Kingston Road in Epsom, waited patiently outside a bus stop on London Road in Ewell, just as his wife, 39-year-old Aliny Godinho, was preparing to leave for the school run with their three-year-old daughter.

Without warning, Godinho approached Aliny wielding a knife and launched a vicious assault. In a matter of seconds, he stabbed her multiple times—up to seven blows—delivering a rapid and ferocious attack that lasted only 17 seconds. During this horrifying incident, Aliny was holding hands with their young daughter, who was present at the scene and witnessed the violence unfold.

It was revealed during the trial that Ricardo Godinho had a troubling history of controlling and aggressive behavior throughout his relationship with Aliny. This pattern of conduct had been noted prior to the tragic event, raising concerns about his propensity for violence.
