ST AUSTELL MAN JAILED FOR BEATING AND RACIALLY HARASSING EX-PARTNER
A 29-year-old man from Roche has been sentenced after being convicted of assaulting and racially harassing his former partner.Reece Coley appeared before Truro Crown Court on August 21 for a plea hearing, where he pleaded guilty to three counts of assault against the woman, as well as one charge of harassment.
During a period of one week, Coley carried out actions that were found to be racially aggravated.
The incidents occurred in September of the previous year.
Following the hearing, Judge Simon Carr imposed a prison sentence of 15 months on Coley, with an additional 12 months on licence following his release.
A restraining order was also issued, barring Coley from any form of contact with the victim—direct or indirect—for at least five years.
