RAYMOND WILD SENTENCED FOR PRE-PLANNED MURDER OF SHEILA WILD
A man has been jailed for life for the "pre-planned" murder of his estranged wife at his home in South Yorkshire.Sheila Wild, 49, was found strangled at Raymond Wild's house on Thorne Road, Doncaster, on 26 February.
The 52-year-old was also found unconscious at the property and was taken to hospital.
He was later arrested and charged.
Wild pleaded guilty to murder at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday and was jailed for a minimum of 15 years.
Det Supt Richard Fewkes said: "Whilst given recognition for his guilty plea, the judge accepted prosecution evidence that Wild was a controlling individual and the murder had been pre-planned.
"I hope Sheila's family can take some solace in the knowledge that justice has been served."
