CHILD SEX ABUSER JAILED FOR ALMOST 19 YEARS
A man who sexually abused three children has been jailed for 18 years and 11 months.Raymond Utley, from Gainsborough, was found guilty of raping and abusing his first victim in the cities of Doncaster, Barnsley, and Sheffield over two decades ago, at a time when she was 14 years old.
In addition to these historic offences, the 59-year-old perpetrated further crimes against two other children during 2021 and 2022.
The sentence was handed down by Lincoln Crown Court on Friday, after Utley had previously entered guilty pleas to multiple charges.
These included two counts of raping a female under the age of 16.
He also admitted to three counts of indecent assault, taking an indecent photograph of a child, two counts of sexual assault, and failing to surrender to police authorities.
Additional charges related to sexual abuse and rape were ordered to be kept on file, pending further proceedings.
