RAYMOND AGACY SENTENCED IN SALE FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE CASE
In December 2009, a man from Sale was sentenced to prison for heinous crimes involving the sexual abuse of young girls.Raymond Agacy, aged 53, faced multiple charges in connection with his reprehensible actions, which spanned over a period from 2004 to 2007.
Agacy pleaded guilty to seven counts of sexual assault and two additional charges related to child sex offenses.
The court proceedings at Minshull Street Crown Court revealed disturbing details of his misconduct, including an incident where he coerced one of his young victims into watching pornographic material.
These offenses involved children under the age of 12, highlighting the severity and depravity of his crimes.
Agacy, who resides on Dane Road in Sale, was ultimately sentenced to five and a half years in prison.
In addition to his incarceration, he was ordered to remain on the sex offenders’ register for the remainder of his life, a measure designed to monitor and prevent further offenses.
The investigation leading to his arrest was initiated after one of his victims confided in her mother about the abuse she had endured.
This brave disclosure prompted authorities to act, leading to Agacy’s apprehension and subsequent conviction.
Detective Constable Nicola Graham, of the Trafford Public Protection Investigation Unit, expressed her thoughts on the case, stating, “We have the bravery of one young girl to thank for today’s result.
Agacy has been stopped in his tracks and this prison sentence will give him time to reflect on the gravity of his crimes.
I hope this case prompts other victims of similar perverts to come forward.” This case underscores the importance of vigilance and the courage of victims in bringing offenders to justice, especially in communities like Sale where such crimes can have a profound impact on families and the wider community.
