PRZEMYSLAW MAJCHZRAK SENTENCED IN HEMINGBROUGH AND SELBY FOR HORRIFIC CHILD AND ANIMAL ABUSE IMAGES

In March 2017, a disturbing case unfolded involving Przemyslaw Majchrzak, a 33-year-old man from St Mary’s Avenue in Hemingbrough, who was ultimately sentenced to prison for possessing a vast collection of illegal and highly disturbing images. The case came to light after police executed a search warrant at his residence in Ousegate, Selby, on November 11, 2014, uncovering a trove of illicit material stored on his computer equipment.

During the search, law enforcement officials seized multiple devices, including three laptops, four memory cards, and a computer tower. An extensive examination of these devices revealed a total of 530 indecent images and 27 indecent videos. Among these, 60 images and 14 videos were classified in the most severe category, indicating the extreme nature of the content. The material included not only images of children aged between three and 17 but also explicit depictions involving animals and even deceased bodies, which are considered particularly heinous.

Prosecutor Lisa McCormich detailed the gravity of the findings, emphasizing that the images of children depicted them being subjected to abuse in the most dreadful ways, causing lifelong trauma. The images also contained scenes of animal abuse and the exploitation of dead bodies, all stored on Majchrzak’s computer.

Following his arrest, Majchrzak was released on bail but subsequently fled the country, returning to Poland. He remained there for nearly a year before being extradited back to the United Kingdom to face justice. His case drew significant attention due to the severity and volume of the illegal material discovered.

Judge Andrew Stubbs QC addressed the court, highlighting the disturbing nature of the evidence. He stated, “There were a high volume of images of children, including moving images. Some of the images contained children as young as three being abused in the most dreadful way, causing them to suffer for the rest of their lives. There were also images showing abuse of animals and abuse of dead bodies. All these were stored on your computer.”

Majchrzak had previously pleaded guilty to seven counts of making indecent photographs of children and two counts of possession of extreme pornographic images. His sentencing resulted in a total of 13 months in prison. Additionally, he was ordered to comply with a sexual harm prevention order and was placed on the sex offenders’ register for a period of ten years, reflecting the serious nature of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
