PHILLIP CAINE FROM BIRCHGROVE INVOLVED IN CHILD INDECENCY CASE AFTER THROWING LAPTOP FROM WINDOW
In August 2013, authorities responded to a distress call at the residence of Phillip Edward Caine, a resident of Bronwydd in Birchgrove. The police were summoned following an incident involving an assault, during which Caine attempted to barricade himself inside his home to evade arrest. When officers arrived, they had to forcibly enter the premises to apprehend him.During the process of detention, a member of the public contacted the police to report that Caine had thrown a laptop out of a window into the undergrowth below as officers were arresting him. The laptop was subsequently recovered from the scene.
While in custody at Swansea Central Police Station, Caine, who was previously known by the surname Yates, expressed remorse for the discovery made on his computer. He stated to officers,
