PETER STORR FROM DUNHOLME SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES NEAR LINCOLN

In September 2018, Peter Storr, a resident of Dunholme near Lincoln, was sentenced to nine months in prison after admitting to charges related to the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. The case was heard at Lincoln Crown Court, where it was revealed that Storr had been involved in the creation, download, and sharing of such illicit material over a period spanning from March 2014 to February 2017.

Police investigations were initiated after authorities received credible information indicating that a computer located at Storr’s residence in Dunholme was actively being used to upload indecent images of minors onto the internet. This tip-off prompted an early morning raid on his home, during which officers seized multiple electronic devices, including computers and phones, believed to contain evidence of his offending activities.

Prosecutor Jonathan Dunne stated that law enforcement officials arrived at Storr’s property at a time when his offending behavior appeared to be intensifying. The seized devices contained both still and moving images depicting children as young as six years old being subjected to sexual abuse. The earliest of these images dated back to March 2014, with the most recent being from the week of his arrest in February 2017. Evidence also indicated that in the days leading up to his apprehension, Storr was actively creating indecent images on his mobile phone and distributing them to multiple recipients. Notably, one image was sent to 14 different individuals, highlighting the extent of his distribution activity.

Storr, aged 62 and residing on Market Rasen Road in Dunholme, pleaded guilty to three charges of making a total of 186 indecent images of children. Among these images, 41 were classified in the most serious category, indicating the severity of the material involved. Additionally, he admitted to two counts of distributing a total of 20 indecent images of minors between January 10 and February 23, 2017.

In his sentencing remarks, Recorder Jacob Hallam QC emphasized the gravity of Storr’s offenses. He stated, “You have accepted that you are a paedophile and you gain sexual satisfaction from girls aged between 10 and 12. You speak of being attracted by their youth and the fact that they are pure. You gain sexual satisfaction from seeing girls of that age being subjected to the most depraved activity that an adult could possibly inflict on a child.” The judge concluded that only a custodial sentence was appropriate given the seriousness of the crimes.

Prior to the sentencing, in August 2018, Storr was granted conditional bail while awaiting his court date. During this hearing, Judge Simon Hirst warned him that he faced the possibility of imprisonment. Storr had admitted to possessing 206 indecent images of children, with over 40 classified as the most serious category. The judge ordered that he be placed on the sex offenders’ register and emphasized the importance of his cooperation with police regarding his personal details and any changes to his address or name. The final sentence and the duration of his registration will be determined at the sentencing hearing scheduled for September 7, 2018.
