PETER DALY FROM CROSBY AND SOUTHPORT JAILED FOR HORRIFIC CHILD AND ANIMAL ABUSE IMAGES
In a disturbing case that has shocked the communities of Crosby and Southport, Peter Daly, a 54-year-old man with a dark history of engaging in heinous online activities, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term for his involvement in child and animal abuse crimes. The case unraveled after police investigations uncovered a disturbing collection of illegal images and videos, revealing the extent of Daly's sickening behavior over several years.Authorities first became aware of Daly's activities when they were conducting a separate investigation. During their inquiry, they discovered that Daly had made numerous payments via PayPal to women in Thailand. These transactions were linked to requests for the women to carry out sexual acts on their own children, with Daly paying them small sums of money—typically between three and six pounds per act. This evidence pointed to a disturbing pattern of inciting and facilitating child abuse across borders.
Following this discovery, police executed a raid on Daly's residence on Endsleigh Road in Crosby in August of the previous year. When questioned about the presence of illegal material on his property, Daly did not deny the allegations. Instead, he openly admitted to having a vast collection of illegal images stored on his computer, stating, “I’ve got them. They’re on the computer next door. Yeah, every type. Animals, gay, everything.”
During the subsequent search, authorities uncovered a horrifying array of digital content. Prosecutor Peter Hussey revealed that investigators found 669 images classified as “extreme porn,” depicting animals being involved in sexual acts. Additionally, they discovered a staggering 2,723 videos and photographs illustrating child abuse, including scenes of extreme cruelty and sadistic mistreatment of very young children.
Daly’s criminal record was further compounded by his admitted involvement in actively directing women in Thailand to perform sexual acts on their own daughters. He confessed to instructing these women on 15 separate occasions, paying them small sums of money to carry out these acts, which involved children as young as five or six years old. Daly described the online environment as resembling a “brothel,” where he believed he could request any type of abuse, and someone would fulfill his demands. He also admitted to attempting to cease his activities at one point, closing all his accounts, but eventually resuming his illicit pursuits.
In court, Daly pleaded guilty to 24 counts, including making indecent images of children through downloading material between 2008 and 2013, distributing such images, possessing extreme pornography, and inciting others to commit sexual offenses. His defense argued that Daly, who was employed as a manager at a soya bean factory, had initially started viewing legal pornography but gradually descended into this dark world through “very small steps.” His legal team emphasized that he was a “successful, hard-working, family man” who never intended to commit such child sex crimes.
However, the judge overseeing the case, Judge Teague, was unequivocal in his condemnation. He sentenced Daly to eight years in prison and imposed an extended license period of five years. The judge described Daly as a “dangerous pederast” and expressed profound disgust at his actions. He stated, “I have no doubt you are dangerous pederast. You actively encouraged women outside this country to carry out sex acts on their own children aged five or six. You were watching the women abuse their children live over the internet connection.”
Judge Teague further condemned Daly for his choice of accomplices, noting that he specifically enlisted the mothers of young children to carry out these acts, which he watched live online. “Of all the people you chose to enlist in the commission of these acts with you, you chose their mothers. It is difficult to imagine a more shocking betrayal,” the judge remarked. He concluded by highlighting that Daly’s moral boundaries had been completely eroded over the years, leaving him as a dangerous individual whose actions had caused immeasurable harm to vulnerable children and families.
