MET POLICE OFFICER PC CAVAN MANSFIELD ACCUSED OF GROPING FEMALE COLLEAGUE AND SIMULATING SEX ACTS DURING OFF-DUTY INCIDENT
A serving Metropolitan Police officer is facing a misconduct hearing after being accused of sexually assaulting a fellow officer during a disturbing off-duty incident.PC Cavan Mansfield, based at the AS Borough Command Unit, is alleged to have touched the breasts of a female colleague – known only as PC A – under her clothing and without consent, before pressing his groin against her multiple times in a manner that mimicked sexual thrusting.
The shocking allegations relate to an incident said to have taken place on March 25, 2024, while PC Mansfield was off duty.
A public misconduct hearing will take place over five days in July.
If the claims are proven, the panel could rule that the behaviour amounts to gross misconduct, which is serious enough to justify immediate dismissal from the force.
