MAN JAILED FOR 20+ YEARS FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING THREE GIRLS
A man received a prison sentence of more than twenty years after a series of sexual assaults involving three young girls.
The offenses, which began in the late 1990s, only came to light in 2023 when police were alerted, leading to the arrest of Paul Wood.
At 60 years old, Wood was charged and placed in custody.
He contested the 17 charges related to the sexual abuse of the three victims, leading to a trial.
On March 10, a jury found him guilty of all charges: five counts of raping a girl under 13, ten counts of assaulting a girl under 13 through touching, one count of sexual assault, and one count of attempting to rape a girl under 13.
Wood, residing on Wendover Rise in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, was sentenced on the same day.
The judge imposed a 21-year prison term and issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order against him.
