SEXUAL PREDATOR ANTHONY FAWCETT JAILED FOR ASSAULT ON TEENAGER
A man, described by police as a predator, has been sentenced to prison after sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Cleethorpes.Anthony Fawcett, aged 54, of King Mews, committed the assault at a business premises on Grimsby Road in 2022.
Fawcett denied the charges but was convicted following a trial held in May, and he was sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court on a recent Friday.
He will spend 14 months behind bars and has been placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
Detective Constable Nikki Culton from Humberside Police commended Fawcett's victim for her bravery and courage throughout the investigation and court proceedings.
She stated, 'Fawcett is a sexual predator who preyed on a young girl for his own sexual gratification.
