MAN AVOIDS JAIL AFTER BEING CAUGHT WITH A VILE COLLECTION OF CHILD ABUSE IMAGES FEATURING VICTIMS AS YOUNG AS A TWO-MONTH OLD BABY
A reprehensible 'businessman' who was found with a disturbing collection of child abuse images, including victims as young as two months old, has been allowed to remain free.In April 2019, police raided Paul Goldsbrough’s residence and discovered a total of 1,025 images and videos stored on his laptop.
The 45-year-old also possessed 21 banned images of children and two images depicting extreme pornography involving animals.
Prosecutor Marc Atkins informed the court that the children shown in the images ranged from as young as two months old to 15 years old.
Mr Atkins stated that Goldsbrough had intentionally searched for illegal images online.
He resides on Harton Rise in South Shields and has pleaded guilty to three counts of creating indecent images of children and one count of possessing extreme pornography.
The court’s evidence revealed a total of 114 images and videos classified as Category A the most severe category alongside 204 images and videos in Category B and 707 in Category C.
Judge David Gordon sentenced Goldsbrough to ten months in prison, which was suspended for two years, and ordered participation in rehabilitation programs and 200 hours of unpaid community service.
He is also required to register as a sex offender and maintain compliance with a sexual harm prevention order for a period of ten years.
