PAUL FOWLER FROM MATSON IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE CONVICTED FOR ANIMAL ABUSE IN PUBLIC

In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community, Paul Fowler, a resident of Matson in Gloucester, was found guilty of abusing his dog in public on multiple occasions. The incident drew significant attention after a witness reported seeing Fowler attacking his dog, an English Bull Terrier named Jawzie, in a public area. The report prompted immediate action from local authorities, leading to police intervention in the Matson neighborhood.

Officers responded swiftly to the scene after being alerted by the concerned member of the public. During their investigation, they seized Jawzie under the provisions of the Animal Welfare Act. The dog was subsequently taken to a veterinary clinic for a thorough examination. As part of his sentencing, Fowler received a two-month custodial sentence, which was suspended for 12 months.
