DUNDEE MAN THREW SHOE WHICH STRUCK A 2 YR OLD BOY & THREATENED HIS PARTNER
Paul Brown, a 36-year-old of Sandyhill Road in St Andrews, appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court to admit to three charges.
During the proceedings, he accepted acting threateningly towards a woman at an address in Cupar on January 24, where he shouted, swore, and made a threat of violence.
Additionally, he confessed to culpably and recklessly throwing a child's shoe, which struck a two-year-old boy in the face.
The court heard that during an argument with his partner, Brown hurled the shoe amid threats, and the neighbor witnessed the incident.
The court also noted Brown has a prior conviction for assault causing injury.
Sheriff George Way deferred sentencing until December 1 for reports and has scheduled to revisit the case after.
Brown’s actions included acts of threatening behavior and reckless physical assault involving a child's footwear in the course of a domestic dispute.
