ALLERTON ICE CREAM MAN PARDEEP KAPUR SHOCKS COMMUNITY WITH CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN LIVERPOOL
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the Allerton area of Liverpool, Pardeep Kapur, a man known locally for his role as an ice cream vendor, has been convicted of serious sexual offences involving a young girl.The incident took place over a period spanning from October of the previous year to February of this year, revealing a pattern of predatory behavior that has now led to his imprisonment.
According to court proceedings, the 49-year-old Kapur, who also held a part-time position at a newsagent located at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, targeted a nine-year-old girl as she approached his ice cream van in February.
The court heard that Kapur produced an explicit image of himself on his mobile phone, which he showed to the young girl as she attempted to purchase a lolly.
This act was part of a series of inappropriate behaviors that included showing her a video of a woman dressed only in a thong.
Prosecutor Amiot Vollenweider detailed that Kapur not only displayed these images but also asked the girl to take a photograph of him.
During this interaction, he was seen to be undoing his trousers, an act that further compounded the severity of his misconduct.
The court was informed that Kapur had previously shown the girl other pornographic images when she visited his van in October of the previous year, indicating a disturbing pattern of exploitation.
The young girl, whose identity remains protected by law, confided in her parents after the February incident, prompting them to contact the police.
Initially, Kapur denied showing any inappropriate images to the girl.
