SEX OFFENDER PAOLO BIANCHI CAUGHT TRYING TO MEET 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL FOR SEXUAL ACTIVITY
A NORTH Ayrshire creep who tried to meet with a 13-year-old girl for 'unlawful sexual activity' is awaiting sentence.Sex offender Paolo Bianchi told a person he believed to be a teen called 'Ellie' that they could "go to the bedroom and have fun together" when they met.
The 55-year-old was caught when it turned out, in reality, that he was chatting with an undercover police officer.
The West Kilbride man, of Gateside Street, pleaded guilty to three charges when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
He admitted attempting to cause a child to look at a sexual image, attempting to communicate indecently with a child, and attempting to meet to engage in unlawful sexual activity with them or in their presence.
He was snared on August 1, 2024, after an undercover police officer posed as a 13-year-old girl called Ellie in an online chat.
Bianchi expressed interest in meeting her, made sexual comments, and sent explicit images.
He was later arrested at his workplace.
His solicitor requested background reports before sentencing, and the judge granted bail as this was his first offense.
Bianchi has now been added to the sex offenders register and will return to court later this year.
