OLIVER LEE GORLESTON SEX OFFENDER JAILED FOR TWO YEARS IN NORWICH CROWN COURT
In a significant case that has shocked the community of Gorleston, Oliver Richard Lee, aged 22, was sentenced to a two-year prison term at Norwich Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to multiple serious charges related to his inappropriate and illegal conduct involving minors.Lee, who resides on Newnham Green in Gorleston, was brought before the court following a detailed investigation by Norfolk Constabulary’s Safeguarding Children Online Team (SCOLT).
The police executed a warrant at his residence in June 2015, during which they seized various electronic devices, including mobile phones and a Lenovo laptop, as part of their efforts to uncover evidence of his misconduct.
Subsequent forensic analysis of the seized devices uncovered a disturbing pattern of communication.
The chat logs revealed that Lee had engaged in conversations with four individuals he believed to be underage girls, specifically between the ages of 13 and 15.
These exchanges included requests from Lee for explicit photographs and suggestions that the girls perform sexual acts, which constitutes serious criminal behavior.
On May 11, 2016, officers from SCOLT formally charged Lee with two counts of attempting to incite a minor to engage in sexual activity and one count of making indecent images.
The charges reflect the gravity of his actions and the threat posed to vulnerable young individuals.
Judge Bates presided over the case and sentenced Lee to two years in prison, emphasizing the importance of protecting children from exploitation and abuse.
